From Day of Impact to Giving Tuesday: Fueling the Future of Oncology Nursing
On October 16, our community came together for the inaugural Oncology Nursing Foundation Day of Impact, a powerful celebration of oncology nurses and the 50th anniversary of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Nurses, donors, ambassadors, and colleagues shared stories of mentorship, compassion, leadership, and growth. It was a day to honor the legacy of oncology nursing and to invest in its future, as well as a success, with over $30,000 raised.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from the Oncology Nursing Foundation Board of Directors, every donation doubled in impact, supporting scholarships, research grants, and leadership opportunities that will empower oncology nurses to learn, lead, and elevate cancer care.
But the Day of Impact was more than a moment—it was a movement. It reminded us that when we invest in oncology nurses, we invest in better outcomes for every person facing cancer.

Looking Ahead: Giving Tuesday Marks a Milestone
This year’s Giving Tuesday is especially meaningful. It will be our final opportunity to celebrate the Imagine the Possibilities campaign, our signature fundraising initiative honoring 50 years of ONS and envisioning the next 50 years of innovation, leadership, and compassionate care in oncology nursing.
