AACR/ONF Oncology Nurse Scholars Program

Award

Selected participants will receive:

• Up to $2,000 to help cover the costs of registration, travel and lodging while attending the AACR Annual Meeting,
• invitations to select networking and social events during the AACR meeting and after, virtually and/or in-person, and
• exposure to the full spectrum of cancer research, including basic, translational, clinical and population sciences

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for funding through this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a registered nurse with a commitment to oncology
• Must be able to attend the AACR Annual Meeting in-person

• Must agree to submit a brief post-meeting reflection that can be published in ONS Voice and used on social media and other ONS and AACR communication channels, describing:

  o Key takeaways from the meeting
  o What they learned
  o How the experience may influence practice

Expectations of Selected Participants

1. Will attend the AACR Annual Meeting in-person
2. Will actively engage in designated program activities
3. Will submit a brief, post-meeting reflection as detailed above
4. Will provide AACR and ONS feedback on the experience and any suggestions for future program improvement
